So James Murdoch or "Rupee Junior", the son of that obnoxious antipodean media mogul, Rupert Murdoch, has had a pop at Auntie Beeb, calling it "State controlled"?

And the nauseating response by the BBC was tongue firmly in cheek, like a spat between old buddies.

It even received a spot on the main evening news, as well as a decent sized article on the BBCi website.

News Corporation's James Murdoch has said that a "dominant" BBC threatens independent journalism in the UK.

The chairman of the media giant in Europe, which owns the Times and Sun, also blamed the UK government for regulating the media "with relish".

"The expansion of state-sponsored journalism is a threat to the plurality and independence of news provision," Mr Murdoch said.

He was giving the MacTaggart lecture at the Edinburgh Television Festival.

Mr Murdoch said that organisations like the BBC, funded by the license fee, as well as Channel 4 and Ofcom made it harder for other broadcasters to survive.

"The BBC is dominant," Mr Murdoch said. "Other organisations might rise and fall but the BBC's income is guaranteed and growing."

News Corporation lost $3.4bn (£2bn) in the year to the end of June, which his father, News Corporation boss Rupert Murdoch, said had been "the most difficult in recent history".

Other media organisations are also struggling as advertising revenues have dropped during the downturn.

Mr Murdoch said free news on the web provided by the BBC made it "incredibly difficult" for private news organisations to ask people to pay for their news.

"It is essential for the future of independent digital journalism that a fair price can be charged for news to people who value it," he said.

News Corporation has said it will start charging online customers for news content across all its websites.

It owns the Times, the Sunday Times and Sun newspapers and pay TV provider BSkyB in the UK and the New York Post and Wall Street Journal in the US.

Rupert Murdoch addressed the same festival 20 years ago.

The lecture was just a let off of steam for the mouthpiece of a company that controls more of the media that the state controlled corporation.

The lecture touched on many truths, but raises the question: Which is worse, a UK media network controlled by the whim of a non-English mouthpiece or a UK media network controlled by the whim of Rupert Murdoch?

The Brave or Foolish Mayor of Donny? By TITVS ADVXAS

I've just tried to listen to BBC iPlayer, and Radio 2's The Jeremy Vine Show, from yesterday, but it's not scheduled for play until later on today!

Why listen to State controlled Media?

The Mayor of Doncaster, Peter Davies, was given a slot on the show to tell or explain to The Bolshevik Broadcasting Collectives' Mr Vine his promises prior to attaining the Mayoral role, and how he is proposing to install them.

Mr Davies had proposed a bold programme to cut Council Tax and banish political correctness. His election was unexpected and he so he will now have to move fast to push through detailed changes and overcome the resistance he is bound to encounter from officers:

• He has cut his own salary as mayor from £73,000 to £30,000 and got rid of the mayoral car, because he says he doesn't need them.
• He has set a referendum to see if the town even needs a mayor
  
• He wants to lose twinning towns as it is a waste of money.
• He wants to cut the number of councillors in borough/district councils to remove bureaucracy and save money
• He wants to stop funding minority celebrations such as Gay Pride and Black history month mainly because they prioritise minorities over majorities.
  
• He wants to get rid of translation services for non English speaking residents due to the cost stating that these shouldn't be necessary as people living in England should be able to speak English.
  
• He wants the St George Cross flag to be flown proudly from all public buildings within Doncaster.

Nothing racist there, as I have commented before, minority groups shouldn't get the disproportionate spending they get , and if people wish to come to Britain to live, then they must learn and use English as their first language, and at their own expense, as in many other countries. If you intend to visit Dubai, then you'll need to learn to understand and/or speak Arabic with night-school lessons paid from your own pocket.

As you'd expect, all the discussion forums the length and breadth of the land are full of Lefty Communists, Trotskyites and Marxists, Fascist UAF and Unwashed SWP scum all vocally expressing their dismay and contempt, spouting racism, diversity, enrichment, and even calling him a fascist.

In a previous interview with Local Bolshevik Broadcasting Collective Radio, indication of the opposition he will face came from a hostile BBC Radio Sheffield reporter.

The interviewer even managed to attack him for cutting his Mayoral salary on the grounds that would diminish "respect" for the office.

The interviewer also abashed him by making an (entirely false) claim that cutting translation services would be illegal.

Not only would it be legal but it would be in line with current government policy.

Mr Davies is not a member of The British National Party, but is an English Democrat, a party has split votes for other parties and not just ours, giving the Lab/Cons a firmer grip.

Perhaps Mr Davies will see the light and cross the floor?

Lets see how the LiLaC traitors deal with him, as he has done things that would give calls for the death penalty (Sharia version) if he were indeed BNP
